The University, which I have been privileged to lead since October 18, 2010, is at a crucial stage in its development. After its formal opening at the take-off site at Magodo, Lagos, on January 7, 2008, followed by commencement of lectures on January 21, 2008, the University moved to its permanent site at Imota, twenty minutes’ drive east of Ikorodu in Lagos State, on November 23, 2009.

The campus is set among gently rolling hills embedded in lush tropical vegetation. The beautiful landscape is complemented by iconic architecture, typified by the massive twin buildings housing the academic and administrative offices and facilities. State-of-the-art laboratories, studios, lecture rooms and an e-library constitute the core of the learning facilities on campus. Separate halls of residence for male and female students flank the approach road to the centre of the campus. The University is in partnership with local and foreign counterparts.

Currently running fourteen programmes in three Colleges (Pure and Applied Sciences; Social and Management Sciences; and Environmental Management and Sciences), Caleb University is poised to expand its course offerings to include a College of Law, a dedicated School of Mass Communication named after Professor Idowu Sobowale and a Business School that will run an international M.B.A. programme. A modern sports complex is being developed to provide adequate facilities for the wholesome development of staff and students.
