The Information and Communication technology Unit (ICT Unit) is a support unit to Administrative, Academic and other Units the university. It is temporary located in the administrative building of the university in the permanent site.. The unit is ssaddled with the responsibility of deploying ICT facilities and services to the university community. The ICT Unit became operational on the11th of January 2008 at the take-off site in Magodo Ikosi LagosState.

Responsibilities

1. Implementation of the ICT Policy

2. Design, implementation and monitoring of the University Area Network

3. Design, Implementation and provision of the internet facility to all the university community.

4. Helpdesk support Services tp the University Community

5. Design and monitoring the implementation of the university eduportal (University Intranet)

6. Design and maintenance of vthe University website

University Network

The University Network Known as CUL Area Network is growing as the university and university infrastructure is growing. Design, Maintenance and implenetation of the network lies in the hands of the ICT Unit.

The University uses wireless network to reach the hostels and the administrative area of the university. The Bursary, Library, ICT Unit Offices run a structured cable network.

University Website

www.calebuniversity.edu.ng. The university website was redesigned in August 2008 and is maintained in-house. It is an on-going project as it udergoes redesigning from time to time to be able to compete favourablly with National and International university site. This serves as a gateway to the university information. Updating and maitenance of the website is the sole responsibility of the ICT Unit.
