The Registry is one of the key areas of the University and is headed by a seasoned Registrar, who is the Secretary to the Council, Senate and Convocation.
The Registrar, who is the Chief administrative Officer of the University is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University except for financial matters for which the Bursar is responsible. The Registrar, co-ordinates the activities of the divisions in the Registry. As of today, the Registry has a total staff strength of 89 made up of 46 Senior and 43 Junior Staff centrally deployed to various Units I the Registry, Colleges, Departments, Bursary, Library, ICT and other Units of the University. | ACADEMIC AFFAIRS |
- This division is responsible for the following:-
- Admission and Registration of fresh students
- Students examination records
- Preparation of transcripts etc

| COUNCIL AND GENERAL ADMINISTRATION |
- Attending to administrative and Secretarial needs of Council
- Undertaking general administrative functions as may be necessary for the smooth running of the University etc

- Confirmation
- Promotion
- Annual leave and entitlements
- Discipline
- Resignation and Termination of appointments etc.

| STUDENT AFFAIRS DIVISION |
This Unit is responsible for the general welfare of students, registration of club and societies coordination of ALUMNI, processing for NYSC, discipline of students etc. |
| Major Activities |
- Providing competent Secretarial services to the various University Committees.
- Custodian of the records and documents of the University
- Handling of all official correspondence on behalf of the University
- Liaison services with regulatory bodies such as NUC, JAMB, etc.
