Caleb University, Imota, Lagos, during the week began the clinical posting of its pioneer students in the College of Nursing and Basic Medical Sciences.
Clinical placements are required in all medical institutions to prepare nursing students for their future roles as healthcare professionals. This process also inculcates in them the skills and experience needed to deliver high-quality care from the onset of their careers.
In his remarks, the visibly delighted Dean, College of Nursing and Basic Medical Sciences, Dr. Adetayo Olorunlana, appreciated the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Olumuyiwa Adewale, and other principal officers of the University for facilitating the clinical postings of the students.
In his words: “Today marks a defining moment as our students step out for their first clinical posting, looking exceptionally professional in their well-designed outfits—so much so that even consultants are recommending them for doctors in training, a true testament to their excellence.
“We sincerely thank our Acting Vice-Chancellor, the Bursar, Registrar, and other members of Caleb University management for their swift facilitation and support, which made this milestone possible and has set a high standard for our institution in clinical excellence and presentation.
po“We hope all students will comply with hospital policies in this 3 weeks clinical posting, develop excellent clinical attitude and be a good product of Caleb University. I wish them a happy clinical nursing practice.”
