On his part, the Director, Centre for Political Issues and Economic Thoughts, Dr. Samuel Idowu, pointed out that the “Centre having identified the crucial role of the appropriation bill in national development, the time to talk about the document is now.”
President Bola Tinubu presented the 2025 budget estimate of N49.7 trillion to the joint session of the National Assembly in November last year.
The president raised the appropriation bill to N54.2 trillion in a letter to the National Assembly on February 5.
After weeks of deliberations, the Senate and House of Representatives on February 13 passed the bill to pave the way for implementing Nigeria’s largest budget in history.
Also expected at the interactive session are teaching and non-teaching staff at the university as well as members of the public.
