From 1,900 in 2021, Varsity Matriculates 2,140 students in 2022
To crown a glorious academic milestone in the year, Caleb University has matriculated 2,140 students for the 2021/2032 academic session.
While addressing the Matriculating Students, the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nosa Owens-Ibie, counselled the freshers to prioritize their studies, shun violence and social vices.
The breakdown showed that 1,513 undergraduate students were admitted through JAMB; 295 through JUPEP; 59 from Caleb Business School, as well as 283 students who came through the College of Postgraduate Studies; to reach a total of 2,140 students.
Also, based in department, Computer Science 100 Level recorded the highest, with 299; followed by Mass Communication, 207; International Relations, 147; Architecture with 110, Accounting, 106; Business Administration attracted 86, and Microbiology 75.
The VC added “This to a large extent determines their choice in life. We are basically equipping the students with skills in demand so they can be gainfully employed. There are skills employers are looking for, one of the things we do here is ensuring they have global certification, through our qualitative learning.’’
The Registrar, Mr Mayokun Olumeru told our reporters that Caleb University will do everything to ensure the new students have a memorable experience on campus.
