Caleb University’s ICT Department stands as a pillar of innovation, committed to transforming academic and administrative operations through strategic technology solutions. Under the leadership of Mr. Oluwaseun Adesola-Zion, the department has implemented impactful projects, formed high-value partnerships, and deployed cutting-edge infrastructure that enhances the digital experience of both staff and students.

A landmark achievement of the department is the successful implementation of a campus-wide fiber optic network for both Local Area Network (LAN) and internet connectivity. This robust infrastructure, executed in partnership with One Data Nigeria, provides high-speed, reliable internet access across the university community. Staff and students now enjoy seamless connectivity that supports research, virtual learning, communication, and administrative functions.

The ICT Department also maintains a strategic academic partnership with CompTIA, a global leader in IT certifications. Through this collaboration, students are empowered to earn industry-recognized certifications such as A+, Network+, and Security+, significantly improving their employability and technical expertise. These certifications are integrated into the academic curriculum and supported through in-house training programs.

Among the department’s flagship digital solutions is the Learning Management System (LMS), which has revolutionized how learning is delivered and accessed. The LMS supports online course delivery, collaboration, assessments, and resource sharing—fostering a dynamic and flexible learning environment.

The department has also developed and deployed a suite of mobile applications tailored to the needs of the university community. These apps provide instant access to academic schedules, course materials, campus news, and other essential information, promoting real-time engagement and convenience for users.

In addition, the ICT team has prioritized cybersecurity, implementing advanced security protocols, conducting regular system audits, and training staff to maintain the integrity of Caleb University’s digital infrastructure.

Under the direction of Mr. Daniel Egbetunde, Principal System Analyst, the university portal system was deployed to serve as a central hub for academic and administrative activities. The portal supports online registration, communication, access to learning materials, and student records management, leading to improved efficiency across departments.

Mr. Marcus Ajilore, Principal Network Analyst, has been instrumental in ensuring a secure and scalable network infrastructure. His efforts have supported the rollout of high-speed wireless coverage across the campus and the strengthening of network security systems to protect data and digital assets.
